Wanting to investigate what exactly goes through women's minds.?

Ex contacted a good friend of mine via Facebook catching up and stuff, and he let me know about it. He said she asked how I was and what I was up to, mentioned also that she hopes that whatever happened in the past is the past and that I don't have any grudges with her. Basically went out during high school and ended after that. It's been 4-5 years since i've talked to her (she still has an effect on me sometimes but other times i'm not even thinking about it). Basically when her name gets mentioned obviously it involves me someway or the other, and it's something i have accepted (even though i hate it). Cannot escape it which ties in with other things but that's another story. Just wanting to find out especially from the women is there an intention in asking about me? or is it simply just out of curiousity? am i still someone she thinks of from time to time? am i gettin way to much into this? answers from women who are 22 and above are much appreciated. feel free to answer anyone.
