No, it is not over-stylized or glossy, it is amateurish. The best way I can tell you to improve is to read lots and lots, and you'll start getting a better feel for dialogue and interaction between people. Also, keep in mind that the function of dialogue is to show conflict - it can be between two people or it can be internal, but there should be conflict in there somewhere. Conflict is what makes a book worth reading. Good luck!
