Australian Christmas tales?

In the northern hemisphere christmas tales always have snow men and snow and ,well, wintery stuff,(i.e. frosty, rudolf) but I know in the southern hemisphere the seaons are opposite so it is summer in australia while it is winter in NA. my question is what are southern hemisphere christmas tales like, and what does your santa look like does he wear swim trunks??
