My laptop screen will not turn on!?

If you find all the bits and pieces are/were plugged in correctly and nothing is out of place, then it is most likely your backlight went out - either as a result of jarring when it was opened up or just an unlucky coincidence. Replacements are between 50 and 150 bucks. Plus you have to put them in without breaking things. I've had this happen 2 times to one of my older laptops. First time i had it repaired, 2nd time i just gave up as the instances were about a year apart. I'd suggest if that ends up being the case, watch for a new laptop to come up on woot.com
